Even the smell of caramel sauce is very mouthwatering.  Unfortunately, making caramel sauce is not that simple. Mostly, it ends up way too far from what we expect. Caramel sauce is supposed to have a sweet and salty taste with gold in color instead of a bitter and burnt taste.

When preparing caramel sauce, there are some things you have to keep in mind; the precise time and stirring way. You have to mind the cooking time so that it will not be overcooked and burnt. Besides, the way you stir the sauce is also a concern to avoid hard texture. Make sure you stir the sauce very well and stop stirring before it is boiled.

  • 125 gr Sugar
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 1 ½ Tbsp Corn Starch mix with some water
  • 1 Tbsp Butter

How to make:

  1. Cook sugar until caramelized, turn off the stove
  2. Slowly add milk and stir well
  3. Turn on the stove in medium heat, stir until the caramel is mixed
  4. Add butter and corn starch. Mix until it is thick
  5. Ready to serve

Caramel Sauce Without Cream or Milk

Caramel Sauce Without Cream Cookcan


  • 200 gr Palm Sugar
  • 4 Tbsp Unsalted Margarine
  • 2 Tbsp Lemon or Lime Juice
  • 100 ml Water

How to make:

  1. Pour palm sugar with 50 ml water into a saucepan
  2. Boil with low heat until the sugar mixed well
  3. Add margarine, lime juice and 50 ml water
  4. Cook until boiled and thick
  5. Turn off the stove and put aside right away when the color is light brown
  6. Chill and store in an airtight container
